Look
Depending on the particle size, colloidal silver is colorless, slightly yellowish, or distinctly yellow to brown. This color is caused by the refraction of light by the silver particles. Finer particles result in stronger light refraction and appear yellowish, while larger particles refract light less strongly and make the solution appear relatively colorless.
At higher concentrations, the solution may have a more intense color – this is an indication of particularly small silver particles.
